Bespoke window manufacturing
Every window is machined, assembled and finished by hand in our Ludham workshop. From initial survey and technical drawings to the final coat of paint, each unit is built to the exact specifications of your project.

From traditional sliding sash to sleek contemporary casement — designed, made and fitted by one of Norfolk’s leading joinery workshops.
T&F Joinery manufactures bespoke timber windows entirely in-house — from initial survey and design through to workshop fabrication and final installation. Every sliding sash and casement window is built to order in our Ludham workshop, using joinery-grade hardwoods and softwoods selected for the demands of Norfolk's climate.
We are specialist manufacturers of replacement sliding sash windows for historic and listed buildings across Norfolk — recreating traditional profiles with modern weather-seals and double glazing that perform to current standards without compromising period character.

Every window is machined, assembled and finished by hand in our Ludham workshop. From initial survey and technical drawings to the final coat of paint, each unit is built to the exact specifications of your project.

We use our partner Neil Lawes Carpentry to carry out the fitting — a trusted local carpenter who installs to the same standards we do. However, the project is managed by us and we stand behind the result.

24mm double-glazed sealed units incorporating Planitherm glass and Argon gas achieve the appropriate energy ratings — fitted within profiles designed to match the slim sightlines of traditional timber joinery. A heritage 12mm double glazed unit is also available, ideal for upgrading listed building glazing where a standard 24mm unit won't fit the existing frame — bringing the glass up to a more modern U-value while keeping the original sightlines intact.

Every window leaves our workshop having passed through the hands of our machinists, glaziers and finishers. The specifications below apply across the full range — sliding sash, casement and specialist heritage profiles.

Standard specification is 24mm double-glazed sealed units incorporating Planitherm low-E glass and Argon gas, achieving the appropriate energy ratings. Traditional single glazing is available for heritage projects, and leaded or coloured glass units are manufactured to order.
Ironmongery ranges from polished stainless steel to hand-made black antique brass — all fitted and adjusted in our workshop before delivery. Sash fasteners, pole eyes, restrictors and drafted seals are specified to suit each window type.
We work in Scandinavian softwood, European and English oak, mahogany, Idigbo and other hardwoods as the project demands. Every timber species is selected for durability, machinability and suitability — with internal glazing bar profiles, staff beads and mouldings detailed to match the building’s period.
Our specialist work is the recreation of sliding sash windows for listed buildings and conservation areas across Norfolk. Each sash is built to match the original profile — whether lead-weighted or spring-balanced — with modern brush-pile weather-seals and draught-stripping fitted discreetly so the traditional appearance is preserved while meeting current thermal and weather performance standards.
Whether you need a single replacement sash for a listed cottage or a full set of casement windows for a new-build, we will advise on timber, glazing, ironmongery and specification — then prepare a clear quotation with no obligation.
